The Higher Education Finance and Funding Summit 2013 #HEfinance
24 Jun 2013

Effective financial strategy at a time of metastasis

In a time of great change for higher education, the need to understand how to manage your institution’s finances is essential.

The inaugural Higher Education Finance Summit and broadcast will allow the sector to identify the opportunities that will guarantee a sustainable financial future by highlighting innovative practices and best practice from both the higher education and private sectors.

The Higher Education Finance Summit will bring together a unique combination of institutions that are taking an innovative approach to financial management.

This will be complemented by speakers from the private sector to highlight both the pitfalls and the opportunities of the drive to a more corporate style of financial management that the sector is currently experiencing.

Using examples of best practice from institutions in the UK and internationally, this conference will explore:

  • Institutional asset management
  • Commercial opportunities from intellectual property
  • Emerging opportunities and investment strategies
  • Effective strategies for fundraising and philanthropy
  • Opportunities for developing new income streams including HE bonds
  • Leveraging alumni networks for communications and fundraising
  • Best practice in cash and treasury management
