Evidence shows that the new tuition fees don’t appear to have any effect on demand, Professor Nicholas Barr told viewers during a panel discusion at the HE Beyond 2015 conference.

“I’m not saying price doesn’t matter,” the Professor of Public Economics, London School of Economics explained. “But it’s the other stuff we need to do the ‘heavy lifting’ on – on widening participation.”
