Chief Nursing Officer for England, Jane Cummings, gave the keynote address and outlined her vision and strategy for nursing and midwifery which she has been working on since her appointment in March of this year. She explained what she and others are trying to so and whom they have consulted along the way.

Cummings spoke of how she is trying to create respect for the sector and wants nurses and midwives to be proud of their positions.
