New creative jobs predicted in downturn - 23 Apr 2009
Tom Bewick, Chief Executive of Creative & Cultural Skills, delivered a relatively upbeat assessment for the sector during the recession, at today’s Supporting Creative Industries Conference.“As in the last recession, new creative skills and jobs will emerge,” he declared.
He also stressed a need for the sector to work more closely with the Higher Education sector.
Job-based training needed to become a pathway into higher education courses, not a dead end, he added.
