Lynne Pacanowski

Lynne Pacanowski, Director of Midwifery and Head of Gynaecology Nursing, Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust

Since undertaking both her nurse and midwifery training at King’s College Hospital (KCH), London, Lynne has had a varied career combining clinical work with teaching and management.

Lynne spent most of her clinical ‘life’ at Guy’s Hospital, initially as a community midwife and then as a labour ward sister. Having qualified as a midwifery teacher, Lynne then taught at King’s College, London, and subsequently took on her first role in management at KCH. In 2001 Lynne moved to St. Mary’s NHS Trust in Paddington, where she was the Head of Midwifery and Gynaecology until April 2008 when she joined Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust as Director of Midwifery and Head of Gynaecology Nursing.

In addition to her teaching qualification, Lynne has a BSc in Health Studies and a Masters degree in educational research.
