Denise Linay

Denise Linay is a Employment Relations Advisor with the Royal College of Midwives. Denise qualified as a midwife in 1981 and worked as a Staff Nurse and then a Midwifery Sister in East London. In 1991 she joined the RCM.

Denise has worked as a Regional Officer in London, and the South-East where she gained extensive experience in the representation of midwives in the workplace and at the NMC.

Denise is a member of the NHS Staff Council and until recently sat on the Equality and Diversity sub-group.

In her current role she has responsibility for developing the membership offer to Maternity Support Workers and takes the lead in the development of resources and information for MSWs and other stakeholders. Denise was on the accreditation panel for the LSBU MSW Foundation Degree and a member of the Evaluation Steering Group.

Denise has a MA in Industrial Relations and successfully completed a Law Degree in 2007. Denise is one of 10 RCM staff members who will be doing the London to Paris Cycle Ride next May on behalf of the National Maternity Support Foundation.
