Kevin Mattinson

 Kevin Mattinson
Pro Vice-Chancellor (Community and Partnerships), Keele University.

Kevin Mattinson holds the position of Pro Vice-Chancellor and Head of Teacher Education at Keele University in the UK, having previously worked at Edge Hill and Manchester Metropolitan Universities. Prior to entering Higher Education, Kevin worked in Secondary schools.

His research and publication areas have included recruitment to Teacher Training, the 14-19 curriculum, the use of National Standards/ Competences in training and development and Quality Assurance and Inspection.

Kevin sits on a number of National Committees related to Teacher Education and is a Qualifications and Assessment Authority (QAA) Auditor. He has also worked with a number of Universities, in England and overseas, as External Examiner and as External Consultant.

As Pro Vice-Chancellor, Kevin has strategic responsibility for developing Partnerships Strategy and he is the ‘University Champion’ for Equality and Diversity. He chairs the sub-regional Aim Higher Area Partnership Committee as well as representing the University on a number of Local Authority Boards and Committees.
