Miles Dibsdall OBE

 Miles Dibsdall OBE
Principal, Edinburgh’s Telford College.

Miles Dibsdall, currently the Principal of Edinburgh’s Telford College, has recently completed the first year of Principalship at the college, enjoys being an active member of the educational community in Scotland.

Edinburgh’s Telford College is currently introducing many new initiatives to ensure that all their learners enjoy a positive learning experience and achieve beneficial outcomes from their time at college.

Before coming to Edinburgh’s Telford College Miles was Principal of New College, Stamford in Lincolnshire for four years and prior to that Deputy Principal at West Kent College. Miles has 15 years of senior management experience within FE. He worked in several of the Kent Colleges and began working in FE as a part-time lecturer in Brighton at the City College.

Miles was educated in Devon and went to the University of Leicester. He took his teacher qualifications whilst teaching part time and in October 1989 successfully completed the Principals Qualifying Programme (PQP). In 2010 completed his NVQ in Strategic Leadership and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management (FCIM).

Miles was awarded an OBE in June 2010 for services to Higher and Further Education.
