Speaker Biography

Nadine Mitchell

Nadine qualified as a Health Visitor in 1999, and has worked as a practitioner, team leader and currently the Health Visitor Manager in Merton.

During her health visiting career it has been her pleasure to be involved in working with an early Sure-start programme and following this to set up a full serve Children’s Centre in the London Borough of Sutton whilst seconded to the Local authority. This experience equipped her with the knowledge, skills and experience to lead a Health Visiting Team into working collaboratively with local Children’s Centres and to continually look for innovative ways of working to benefit service users. She is currently working with her team to develop a local action plan in response to the Department of Health, Health Visiting Implementation Plan (February 2011).

Nadine’s personal areas of interest include early intervention and prevention work, breastfeeding and positive parenting.
