Claire Schofield

Claire leads on NDNA’s support services for members, internal and external communication and public policy work.

Claire leads on NDNA’s policy and parliamentary work, including representation to ministers, parliamentarians and senior officials. Claire is responsible for NDNA’s media relations strategy, achieving significant coverage and acts as spokesperson to national print and broadcast media. She has developed the membership strategy for the charity, reviewing and introducing a new benefits package and internal processes to promote growth in membership numbers and expansion into Scotland and Wales. Claire has led her team to develop and deliver projects including NDNA’s national conferences, website and publications portfolio and contracts, including communications contracts for Government departments and a Sector Skills Council.

Prior to joining NDNA in 2001, Claire worked in public relations for many years. Her experience includes several years in PR consultancy working on a range of accounts in the private and public sector, including NHS trusts, utilities, telecommunications and a Chartered Institute of Public Relations award-winning campaign for an arts festival.
