Dr Sue Robbins

Sue has taught at Oxford Brookes University for 22 years.

Her discipline-based teaching is in biochemistry and through her research in cancer chemotherapy she gained her PhD in 2001.

Since 1996 Sue has managed the Extended Sciences degree programme that takes students with non-standard entry qualifications and from diverse backgrounds. Her experience in supporting these students led Sue to become Head of Student Support in Life Sciences where she initiated proactive support for first year degree students through PASS, Personal and Academic Support System, with a personal tutoring programme and intervention with academically failing students.

Sue is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and an ASKe Fellow, appointed by the Assessment Standards Knowledge exchange CETL at Oxford Brookes. She was a nominee for a National Teaching Fellowship.
