 Wendy Weal
Wendy Weal is the Managing Director of Interface, a national provider of specialist expertise, support and training to transform the lives of vulnerable families.

Interface has been supported and funded by the DfE (Families at Risk division) and later the DCLG (Troubled Families Unit) to support areas across the Country with their work around vulnerable families.

Until 1st April 2011 Wendy was the Deputy Delivery Manager of the Families at Risk division of the Department for Education. She had a national role in supporting Local Authorities and their partners in setting up and running intensive family support services for families with multiple problems, parenting support and wider reforms around integrated services and “Thinking Family.”

She was the national delivery lead for the Family Pathfinders and worked with other government departments and organisations to encourage and shape a “Think Family” approach. Examples include guidance on the development of local protocols between Drug and Alcohol treatment services, Safeguarding Boards and Children and Family services, Offender Management services, Mental Health services and Young Carers.
