Professor Jane Tunstill

Professor Jane Tunstill
Jane Tunstill, is Visiting Professor and Children’s Consultant at the Social Care Workforce Research Unit, Kings College, London. Her career spans child care social work; social work education; and policy analysis in the voluntary sector. She has undertaken extensive government and third sector commissioned research, evaluation, and knowledge reviews in the area of children and young people; family support and children’s services.

The majority of her research/ evaluation work has been in the area of early intervention, family support, and the interface between safeguarding and preventive services for children and families.
Current projects include a family support outcome tool kit for self-application by the children’s centre workforce, (currently in the context of PBR) . She directed the Implementation Module in National Evaluation of Sure Start, 2000-2007; and has undertaken several evaluations of children’s centre outcomes for statutory and voluntary agencies, including Action for Children.
