Nick Relph

 Nick Relph
Nick joined South London Commissioning Support Unit (SLCSU) as Managing Director in August 2012. He has a successful career history of senior leadership spanning over 25 years. He was the Finance Director for Oxfordshire Health Authority in 1993, appointed as Chief Executive of Berkshire Health Authority in 1999, became the Chief Executive of the Thames Valley Strategic Health Authority in April 2002 and was Chief Executive of NHS Hounslow from April 2008 until June 2012. From July 2011 to June 2012 Nick was also Chief Executive for NHS Ealing and NHS Hillingdon. Nick’s professional experience also includes four years as the Senior Responsible Officer for Connecting for Health across the South of England.

In addition to his NHS leadership experience, Nick brings with him valuable private sector experience gained over six years as a Non-Executive Director of a private healthcare company. He also spent a year working with the independent sector on a scheme to develop new elective hospitals and capacity in the South West.

He is a geography graduate and qualified accountant and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy. He has spent many years as a commissioner and is convinced that the focus for change is led by commissioning and will be enhanced by a customer orientated CSU staffed by passionate people who want to make a difference to patient outcomes.
