Steven Proudfoot

 Steven Proudfoot
Steven is responsible for the operating activities of Asset Skills across the UK including project delivery, development of standards and the work of the UK Academy. The Operations team undertakes employer engagement which is a large part of the core remit of the organisation and liaises with government, agencies and other stakeholders. Previous roles within Asset Skills included Director of Operations and Director of UK Development. Steven joined the organisation as Head of Asset Skills in Scotland in January 2004.

He Chaired the SSC (Sector Skills Council) network in Scotland and represented Scotland on the Skills for Business Network (collective group of all 25 SSCs) for two years ending in 2006. In November 2004 he was appointed a Director of the Sector Skills Alliance in Scotland for a period of 2 years. In September 2005 he was appointed by the Minister for Skills to the Project Monitoring Group for the European Social Fund Objective 3 Partnership. Prior to Joining Asset Skills, Steven was a director of a private training company and the owner of a retail business following a 20 year career in the property sector in Scotland.
