 Phil Miles
Phil is Director of Regeneration & Communities for Affinity Sutton. Affinity Sutton is one of the UK’s largest social landlords with 60,000 properties in 120 Local Authorities. As such they house many of the most excluded households in the country. Phil is responsible for Affinity Sutton’s wide ranging Social and Economic Regeneration programme which aims to help people into work and training, tackle debt, poverty and digital exclusion, and build stronger communities.

Last year the programme won Business in the Community’s national ‘Award for Excellence’. In 2012/13 Affinity Sutton helped 585 people into work, 3082 into training and 534 to get on-line for the first time. Affinity Sutton see digital exclusion as a key barrier for residents and have a number of programmes designed to address it under their ‘Get Connected’ programme. They are interested in new approaches to help move the organisation and their residents closer to being ‘digital by default’.
