Barney Wells is a mental health social worker who has worked primarily in homelessness for twenty years. This has included a project "Amaudo Itumbauzo" in Nigeria, St Mungo's and, for many year, statutory services in Camden and Islington.

In 2011, with a group of others from different disciplines, he established "Enabling Assessment Service London" (Easl). This is a social enterprise providing professional mental health input in the interest of socially excluded people. Easl now works alongside Thames Reach, Broadway London, St Mungo's and Hammersmith and Fulham, and is also involved in training.
