Rohan Setna

 Rohan Setna
Rohan is a Chartered Patent Attorney and European Patent Attorney in the Chemical and Materials Group. He has been a Partner at Boult Wade Tennant since 2001.

He is very experienced in drafting opposition and appeal statements and regularly presents cases at Oral Proceedings before the Opposition Divisions and Boards of Appeal of the European Patent Office. Rohan also has experience of revocation and entitlement proceedings before the UK Intellectual Property Office.

Rohan has presented at many conferences, including: European Intellectual Property Seminar, Japanese Institute for Overseas Investment, Tokyo 2010; “Claim Drafting in Nanotechnology: Approaches for Europe, the US and Japan”, International Symposium on Nanotechnology and Patenting, November 2004; “How Patents Work”, The Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining: Materials Spin-Out Master Class, October 2004; “Harnessing the Entrepreneurial and Inventive Spirit”, Entrepreneurship and Innovation event, Queen Mary, University of London and SIMFONEC, 2003; and the Chairman of the Nanotechnology Workshop at the CIPA Congress, November 2003.
He is also the author of “Patents and Nanotechnology”, Nanotechnology Supplement, New Scientist, September 2006.
