Professor Kai Peters

Kai Peters is Dean/Director of Ashridge, the business school located in Berkhamsted, near London, in the United Kingdom. Ashridge is one of the world’s leading and largest providers of executive education, including open programs, tailored programs and and consultancy.

Additionally, Ashridge has a suite of degree programmes including an MBA, an EMBA, MSc’s in Coaching; Consulting; and Sustainability as well as a Doctoral programme. The business school was founded in a 13th century estate in 1959 and has over 100,000 alumni.

Prior to joining Ashridge, Peters was Dean, and previously director of MBA programs, of the Rotterdam School of Management (RSM) of Erasmus University in the Netherlands.

Peters serves on supervisory and advisory boards for a number of organizations in the technology, (represented private equity in a mobile communications company) and health care sectors. He is a board member of Centrepoint, a London-based charity for homeless youth. He also serves in various capacities for educational associations including AACSB, EFMD, EFMD, GMAC and ABS. He is owner and was managing director (89-93) of a company in the German publishing sector and has worked for both IBM and Volkswagen in organisational development.

Peters writes and lectures on strategy, leadership and management education for government, business and academic audiences. A book, Steward Leadership, was published in 2012. He has been twice selected in the UK for HR magazine’s top 100 HR professionals.

He holds degrees from York University, Toronto and University of Quebec in Chicoutimi; (Canada) and Erasmus University (Netherlands).
