Prior to his current role, Jeffrey Lehman was professor of law and public policy at the University of Michigan and a practising lawyer in Washington DC. He led several academic institutions before becoming inaugural vice-chancellor of NYU Shanghai, including Peking University School of Transnational Law, Cornell University and The University of Michigan Law School.
