Head of Communications and Development, Carers UK

Gavin Macgregor is Head of Communications and Development at Carers UK, with responsibility for membership services, carer involvement and communications and campaigns. He has worked on a number of Carers UK campaigns, including Back Me Up on support for carers faced with an emergency and Real Change not Short Change on carer poverty. He is the author of various reports including on carers' experiences of hospital discharge and the impact of carers' legislation. He managed Carers UK's innovative project Equal Partners which helped carers shape local services across the UK. He has a background in community development.
