Jan Moss
President, Carers NZ
Jan is the Chair of Carers New Zealand and co-ordinates a special interest group within this organisation, the Complex Carers Group, which provides support and information for families of disabled children and young people with intensive support needs. Through contact with families and research, the needs of this population are identified with the Ministry of Health in New Zealand to help determine policy and service development.
Jan is the mother of two adult children. Her younger daughter Becky, is 26 years old and lives at home and is severely intellectually disabled and has intractable epilepsy.
