Sally Dicketts held a number of senior posts in schools before becoming Principal of Oxford and Cherwell Valley College.

In 1988 she joined the senior management team at Milton Keynes College, and became Principal and Chief Executive in 1996. In October 2003 she became the first Principal of Oxford and Cherwell Valley College. This college was formed from the merger of Oxford College of Further Education, North Oxfordshire College and Rycotewood College. She has recently worked with LSN to set up a joint venture to run Reading College. She is involved in work with Academy schools and UTCs.

Sally is a member of the City and Guilds Learning and Assessment Policy Committee. She is a Board Member of AiME and AoC. She chairs the Women’s Leadership Network, the AoC Enterprise Society Governance Committee and the Employment and Enterprise Committee.

She is also a member of the Oxfordshire Management Club, All Souls group and is a leading thinker for the National Education Trust.

Her main passion and area of interest is in how people learn and how to develop more effective innovative teaching and pastoral support.
