Dawn Warwick

Dawn Warwick took up her current post of Director of Adult Social Services in Wandsworth in 2007. She has held a number of senior management roles spanning children’s and adult social care. Prior to joining Wandsworth she was the Deputy Chief Executive and Strategic Director of Community and Cultural Services in Slough, where she was previously the Director of Social Services from 2001.

Dawn has worked in social care for over twenty seven years. On completion of her Masters Degree in Social Work at Nottingham University she joined Leicestershire County Council, initially as a social worker and then as a team manager. She later moved south to take the lead role in mental health services in Hounslow.

An honorary fellow of Kingston University, Dawn takes a keen interest in social work education. She is also the joint co-chair of the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services Older People’s committee.
