Speaker Biography

Elizabeth Fells

Elizabeth is the Head of Public Services Reform at the CBI. She leads a team developing proposals to improve the delivery of public services in a range of policy areas including criminal justice, home affairs, local government and infrastructure. Her work also involves promoting ways to make public procurement more efficient, and how new public services delivery models can be used to achieve better value for money. This includes demonstrating how public sector partnerships with the private and voluntary sectors can improve the provision of public services.

She previously worked at the Australian Treasury as an economic analyst, and for the Western Australian Government as an adviser in the Cabinet Office and the Treasurer’s Office. She studied politics and economics at the University of Western Australia, and has an executive masters in public administration from the Australian National University.
