4th annual conference held at Jury's Great Russell Street Hotel, London
Brings together senior representatives from across the learning and skills sector, local authorities and regional and sector specific agencies to consider the latest thinking, government policy, and good practice in equipping young people with the work-related and life skills they and the economy need for the future. In light of the Leitch Implementation Plan, the Education and Skills Bill and the proposal to raise the compulsory participation age, this conference examines good practice in Diploma development, apprenticeship delivery, employer engagement and preparations required for the introduction of a new curriculum from September 2008. Key speakers: David Frost, Director-General of the British Chambers of Commerce; Professor Deian Hopkin, Vice-Chancellor of London South Bank University; and John Stone, Chief Executive of the Learning and Skills Network.
