Public Consultation and Select Committee Hearing

In 2011 the IfL, the professional body for teachers, tutors, trainers and student teachers in the further education (FE) and skills sector, saw significant changes to their funding structure.

The IfL used a live broadcast to consult with their membership directly.  Chief executive, Toni Fazaeli and chair Sue Crowley  answered questions via a live phone in, twitter and email.

  • Broadcast attracted over 300 live unique viewers
  • Material accessed over 2300 since the broadcast spending an average of over 4minutes on the site
  • Lively interactive comments feed using the comments and twitter function

The Future of Banking Commission established by Which? brought together MPs, banks and the general public to debate Britain’s banking system. 

A policy review camera crew travelled the length and breadth of the country in early 2010 to ask members of the public what they thought about the future of banking.  This was followed by three high level select committee hearing chaired by Rt Hon David Davis MP and featuring senior executive form the worlds of politics business and business including Antony Jenkins, Chief Executive Global Retail Banking, Barclays, Stephen Hester, Group Chief Executive Officer, RBS, Stephen Green, Group Chairman, HSBC and Martin Taylor, Chairman, Syngenta
