Sarah Poolman

Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Poolman has been with Thames Valley Police for 15 years and during her career, has worked in a variety of different policing roles including frontline response policing, firearms and investigation of serious crime.

Sarah is now the DCI responsible for protecting the most vulnerable people from harm in Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes. Her portfolio includes the management of the Child Abuse, Domestic Abuse and Sex Offender Teams, ensuring effective multi-agency working to identify and manage risk.

She is a member of both the Adult and Children Safeguarding Boards in Buckinghamshire. Over the last year, Sarah has been working within Thames Valley Police and externally with partners to improve the response to Child Sexual Exploitation and is the Police lead for the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) in Buckinghamshire.
