Malcolm McVicar took up the post of Vice-Chancellor at the University of Central Lancashire on 1 October 1998. Previously, he was Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academic) at the University of Portsmouth. He was educated at the Universities of Exeter and London. Malcolm's academic interests are in the areas of higher education policy, education management and health policy.
