Andy Baker

Andy Baker, Director, Multisport4life

A former PE teacher of nine years, Andy set up Sportscare, a children’s multi activity sports company, in 1995 which was sold in 1999 to Kids Unlimited the national nursery group.

Having developed the family membership strategy for Next Generation Clubs as Group Sport Development Director, Andy then set up Children First Clubs which was based in schools PFI and children’s services. This branded operation had a series of school sport facility management contracts and was part of a large PFI group. Andy exited in 2006 after a trade sale.

Andy now runs a coach training agency Multisport4Life and a consultancy and facilitation service called Children First since 2006. Andy is a leading children’s sport, participation and activity expert in both the public and private sector on a local and national level. Multisport4Life is already seen as at the forefront of coach education training in professional sports clubs, county sports partnerships and leisure trusts with a unique delivery partnership with a leading teacher training University for sports coaches working in the primary school sector.

Based in Bath, Andy works with PE coaching companies, holiday camp brands, children’s activity operators, government departments, county sports partnerships, professional sports clubs, Local Authority leisure companies and trusts, school sport partnerships, mainstream leisure consultancies, marketing specialists and children’s activity franchises.
