Siobhan was appointed by Gypsy groups to represent Romany Gypsy Communities on the Government Task Group on Accommodation and Enforcement Issues from 2007-2009.

She received an MBE in 2009 for Community Relations and in 2012 obtained LLB law degree after studying part time.

Siobhan is currently working on improvement in the law with regard to ‘Gypsy status’ and drafting an NGO Gypsy & Traveller strategy in the hope that it will be used for recommendations.

In 2004, DGLG was awarded the Queens National Award for Innovative Police Training in conjunction with Derbyshire Police for their Moving Forward National Police Training Project.
