Frances Rehal MBE

Frances Rehal worked for many years as a health visitor in London with families from multi-cultural backgrounds and also with travellers. She has held a lead role for child protection within a PCT NHS Trust.

Frances developed the SureStart Millmead Programme which was a Children’s Centre Team of the Year Finalist in 2006. The programme also received a national award from the Independent for an innovative career’s service.

Frances was awarded the Queens Nurse title in 2008 for innovation in primary healthcare provision at Millmead Children’s Centre. She led the SureStart Millmead programme through incorporation as a Community Mutual/ Social Enterprise model of governance. She was a co-constructor on the pilot NPQICL course and is an assessor and mentor for the roll out of this programme.

She is currently a Children’s Centres Locality Coordinator in Kent. She has published many articles on integrated working and leadership and has recently contributed to a book on Inter-Professional Approaches to Young Fathers. Earlier this year Frances was awarded an MBE for services to children and families.
