Caroline Sharp

Caroline Sharp has worked for NFER for more than 20 years.

She has extensive experience of directing complex evaluations in education and children’s services. Her work in the field of early childhood includes studies of parents’ views of pre-school, and of children’s transition from the Foundation Stage to Key Stage One.

Caroline was Reviews Coordinator for the C4EO early years theme. She recently completed a project evaluating the feasibility of the payment-by-results scheme for Children’s Centres (with the National Children’s Bureau) and is currently directing a project on highly effective leadership in children’s centres for the National College. She will be sharing key findings of recent research into targeting Children’s Centres services on the most needy families for the Local Government Group.
