Judith Curry

Judith is part of the council’s Culture and Learning section, which includes Adult Learning; Culture Services; Registrars and Coroners as well as Libraries.

Judith joined the county council in February 2004 as a Library Manager and following a stint as Children’s Development Librarian, she then took a career deviation when she was seconded to the role of project manager, overseeing the design and build of the new High Wycombe Library. Her digression became permanent, when the call for project work became too strong.

Over this time, Judith has been responsible for managing and delivering £6-7m worth of projects for the council. Through this work, she has gained a wealth of experience in designing and delivering a range of innovative building and community development projects, covering Big Lottery funded ones, new Adult Learning Centre and refurbishments of libraries. Her experience has helped her develop an understanding of the needs of an evolving library service and the importance of advocating for the library through developing relationships within local communities.
