Dr Bob Brown

Bob Brown is Assistant Director of Primary Care and Nursing (Learning and Development) at the South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust in Northern Ireland. Having trained at the Southern Area College of Nursing, Bob qualified as a Registered General Nurse in 1989 and has continued to practice since this time working in the care of older people, critical care and palliative care settings. Bob is an accredited RCN Learning Facilitator and has maintained a consistent interest in and support for a wide range of learning and developing practice activities across Northern Ireland, as well as nationally and internationally.

In his current role Bob has managerial responsibility for two community hospitals, Minor Injury Units, GP Out of Hours, community dentistry, ICATS, remote telehealth services, rapid response and specialist community nursing and mental health services for older people, as well as leading on nursing and midwifery education, professional development, research and practice development. He is an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Ulster.
