Speaker Biography

Jo Webb

Jo Webb has been Head of the Learning and Research Services section of De Montfort University Library and Learning Services since 2006 and is also currently Acting Deputy Director. She leads academic library liaison activities alongside learning and study support (including maths and writing development). After reading Modern History at Oxford, Jo took an MLib at the College of Libriarianship Wales.

She also holds an MBA. Alongside her work at De Montfort University, Jo has been active in the profession as an officer of the Academic and Research Libraries Group of CILIP and is also an External Examiner to the CILIP Qualifications Board. Jo has co-authored 3 books on aspects of academic librarianship, starting with Teaching information skills in 2004 and spoken at many conferences. She is a Chartered Fellow of CILIP, a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, of the Royal Society of the Arts and a National Teaching Fellow.
