Ruth Holt

Ruth Holt joined the NHS Confederation from the Leeds Teaching Hospitals where she held the position of Chief Nurse and Director of Infection Control and was responsible for leading the Trust's work on patient safety and experience. She is responsible for leading the quality programme for the NHS Confederation.

Ruth was the Chief Nurse at South Manchester University Hospitals Trust until 2006 prior to which she held clincial and managerial posts in acute and community settings.

Ruth has an interest in the Nursing workforce having led the remodelling of the nursing workforce in Leeds with the development and introduction of a workforce modelling tool accross all clinical areas. She is currently a member of the Safe Staffing Alliance.

Ruth has a keen interest in the education and development of staff and is a Trustee with Marie Curie Cancer Care.
