Christopher Scanlan

 Christopher Scanlan
Christopher Scanlan is Consultant Psychotherapist in general adult and forensic mental health Millfields Unit, North East London Severe Personality Disorders Services, John Howard Centre, East London Foundation NHS Trust and has the lead for Reflective Practice Team Development (RPTD) project, River House Medium Secure Forensic Services South London and Maudsley Foundation NHS Trust.

He is Training Group Analyst and member of Faculty Institute of Group Analysis (London) and Visiting Senior Lecturer in Psychosocial Studies, University of East London. Christopher is Senior Visiting Research Fellow Centre for Psycho-social Studies, University of West England (UWE); an associate of the Organisation for the Promotion of the Understanding of Society (OPUS); member of the International Society for the Psychoanalytic Study of Organizations (ISPSO).

He was previously, Consultant Psychotherapist and lead for Training and Consultation at Henderson Hospital Democratic Therapeutic Community Services; professional adviser to Department of Health’s Personality Disorder Expert Advisory Group and the ‘Social Inclusion Unit’ in the Department for Communities and Local Government and a trustee of the Zito Trust – a major UK Mental Health Charity campaigning for improved services for mentally disordered offenders and their victims.
