Wendy Scott

Wendy Scott is a Froebel trained teacher and psychology graduate, with many years’ varied experience including the headship of a demonstration nursery school. She has held lecturing and advisory posts, and coordinated the Roehampton advanced diploma in multi-professional studies. Experience as an ILEA inspector for the early years and primary inspector for Kensington and Chelsea was followed by some time as an OFSTED registered inspector and trainer.

As chief executive of The British Association for Early Childhood Education, Wendy chaired the national Early Childhood Forum, and then spent two years as a specialist adviser to the then DfES at the time Sure Start was being developed. Since then, she has worked abroad with the British Council and UNICEF. She is currently President of TACTYC, and served on the Nutbrown Review of Early Years Qualifications.
