Ian joined Durham University Business School in 2000 and is a Principal Teaching Fellow in Finance and Director of Undergraduate of Studies. He has a BA in Economics, MSc in Corporate and International Finance and a PhD in Economics from Durham University.

Ian teaches across undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in modules such as Corporate Finance, Financial Engineering, Financial Markets and Behavioural Finance. His research interests include derivative markets, behavioural finance and financial crises. Ian is also interested in pedagogy with a focus on the international student experience in UK higher education.
