Speaker Biography

Stephen Healy

Stephen has 15 years higher education marketing and development experience spanning the public and private sectors in the UK, China and Thailand.

Since 2007, Stephen has served as Director of Strategy and Development and member of the Board of Directors for INTO University Partnerships. Stephen and his team provide strategic planning and development, marketing and communications, digital marketing and knowledge services for the INTO’s university partnerships in the UK and USA.

In 2005, Stephen founded activeMINDS, a consultancy specializing in the tracking international student demand and HE marketing trends, and worked closely with the Thai Government, UK universities and UNESCO Bangkok on education policy development. The insight and strategic marketing planning capacity of activeMINDS has been incorporated within INTO.

Between 1998 – 2005, Stephen held senior education management and marketing roles in the British Council. In China, he launched and established the marketing campaigns and activities associated with the EducationUK, whilst in Thailand he led the Council’s education development and promotional portfolio. Stephen’s career started at the University of London’s External Programme at Wye College.
