Dr Neil Kemp OBE

Dr Neil Kemp OBE, Advisory Board, London School of Commerce and Visiting Fellow, Institute of Education, University of London

Neil Kemp has contributed to education and training projects in over twenty countries; he has lived and worked in Asia for twenty years, including eight years each in Indonesia and India. He started work as an apprentice in manufacturing industry, studied for his degree and then a Doctorate (in electron spectroscopy) at Swansea University and researched education and development at the Institute of Education, London.
He is currently a Visiting Fellow at the Institute of Education, London, and his interests include student mobility, the internationalisation of higher education and the policy implications of the growth of the private sector. He manages his own international education consultancy and recent clients include universities; BIS; Education UK Scotland; CIRIUS, Denmark; the Swedish Institute; ACA Brussels; and Education New Zealand.
Neil is a board member at the London School of Commerce, the Council for Education in the Commonwealth and Open University Worldwide. Among other responsibilities he was previously Director Education UK at the British Council and adviser to the UK-India Education and Research Initiative.
