Originally from Liverpool, Peter moved to Bedfordshire where he became Operations Director for the local Training and Enterprise Council, before taking over as Executive Director of Business Link for Bedfordshire & Luton for nine years. Peter was also a Director of the Bedfordshire & Luton Chamber of Commerce and has been involved in creating and managing a number of small businesses providing management training, consultancy, information technology and business support services.

Peter entered local government four years ago when he joined Bedfordshire County Council to manage their strategic partnerships. He moved to Central Bedfordshire Council when the new unitary authority was established in April 2009 and is employed as the Head of Partnerships & Performance. His responsibilities include: strategic partnerships; community engagement; customer insight and business intelligence; corporate risk; customer relations; and corporate performance management.
