James Cleverly

 James Cleverly
James Cleverly is Chairman of the London Waste and Recycling Board which brings together local and regional government to stimulate waste management infrastructure development and improvements to recycling rates in London. The Board’s £86m budget supports public information, community re-use and recycling schemes, as well as seed funding major waste management infrastructure projects.

In his capacity as the London Assembly Member for Bexley and Bromley James sits on a number of the Assembly’s internal committees as well as on the Metropolitan Police Authority and the London Development Agency.

James comes from a background in web and print publishing and before being elected was the co-founder of a company that runs websites helping entrepreneurs and small businesses grow and develop.

He is a Major in the Territorial Army with over 19 years experience, and until 2005 was the Officer Commanding 266 (Para) Battery Royal Artillery (Volunteers).
