Stuart Bannerman

 Stuart Bannerman
As an “intrapreneur” Stuart has been responsible for ground breaking operations and academic product. Having taught at the universities of St Andrews and Glasgow, he launched the first International Study Centre at Queen Margaret University in 1998 introducing Graduate Diplomas for the first time as a pre-masters award for international students.

He was Head of EFL and Director of the Centre for Applied Language Studies at the University of Dundee where he worked on the Wanli Group project in Ningbo, who were subsequently to take on Nottingham. The current project, the International Academy at the University of Essex, is the largest of its kind with some of the most innovative programmes available in HE. Stuart worked with Colin Gilligan, author of the Gilligan Report, the British Council and Hobsons amongst others and believes professional marketing lies at the heart of successful projects.
