Prof Dr Patricia Arnold

Patricia Arnold has been a full professor of socio-informatics at the University of Applied Sciences Munich, Germany since 2006.

Her teaching, research and development work focuses on facilitating learning communities with technologies, both in higher education and in the field of professional development. She is Academic Director of the online study program "BA Social work" (BASA-online). She directs the research project USuS (Study Trajectories and Study Success in Bologna Programs), funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research in Germany (BMBF) from 2008-12 at her university, in close co-operation with other higher education institutes across Germany.

She received a PhD in educational sciences form Helmut-Schmidt University Hamburg, Germany, after having worked for several years in transnational adult education and IT-training.
