Sarah Macdonald

Sarah Macdonald joined Pearson in February from BPP where she was Deputy Dean of the Law School.

From 2003-8 Sarah was Dean of the Law School at the Honorable Society of King’s Inns Dublin, the regulator and provider of training for the Bar in Ireland. Prior to that Sarah was Director of the Bar Vocational Course at the College of Law.

She has directed a number of overseas legal training and training-the-trainer projects, working with the Judiciary in Russia and Turkey, and with prosecutors, lawyers and legal educators in countries including Georgia; Pakistan; Ukraine and South America. She was also Director of the European Young Lawyers Scheme.

Before her career in legal education Sarah practised as a barrister and was a member of the Chambers of Rock Tansey QC (now 25 Bedford Row). Sarah is a member of the JASB - which regulates the academic stage of legal training in England and Wales and of the curriculum and review committee of the Institute of Legal Professional Studies at Queen’s University Belfast. She is also an institutional reviewer for the QAA.
