Speaker Biography

Sarah Mitchell

Sarah has worked for CRI for the last 13 years specialising in working with the street community. She has worked her way up to management starting as an assertive outreach worker in the rough sleepers team in 2001.

In 2004 her work moved away from rough sleeping into anti social behaviour specifically targeting begging and street drinking working closely with the police in 2003.

The partnership work with other agencies has seen the implementation of some creative ideas which have been rolled out in the city. Sarah is passionate about raising the profile and meeting the need of socially excluded disenfranchised groups in order to achieve best outcomes for service users. S

Sarah now has the pleasure of managing the rough sleepers team and a residential rehab where she has the privilege of experiencing the journey of recovery for those who often have been rough sleeping. When she gets spare time Sarah enjoys roller skating with her family, swimming, walking and eating.
