Jean Jacques Moreau

 Jean Jacques Moreau
Jean-Jacques received the Diplôme Universitaire in patent law from the Center for International Intellectual Property Studies (CEIPI), France, 2013; and the Diplôme d’Ingénieur in computer science and telecommunications from Telecom Bretagne, France, 1989. He is currently General Manager for IP and General Manager for Video Transmission R&D at Canon Research Centre France (CRF).

From 2001 to 2008, he has lead CRF’s Video & Imaging research department. From 1999 to 2005, he was leading CRF’s research on XML and Web Services.

Prior to working at Canon, Jean-Jacques worked at HP Labs Bristol (UK), where he led research on autonomous, lightweight, distributed system management platforms and on distributed file systems, from 1990 to 1997.

He is the recipient of five Canon’s Best Investor awards (1998-2002), including a Canon Group IP award (2003), and two HP awards, including one for best technical transfer (1994). Jean-Jacques holds or has applied for 59 patents. He has technology included in Canon devices, HP OpenView, the HP-UX kernel and other products.
He was an editor for W3C WSDL 2.0, W3C SOAP 1.2. He is a member of the IEEE, the IEEE Computer Society and the ACM. Jean-Jacques was a reviewer for several conferences or books on Web Services and Object-Oriented languages.
