Tom Clarke

Science Editor Tom has a brief almost as wide as the galaxy. He covers everything from the pharmaceutical industry to climate change. Since joining Channel4 News in 2003, he has slept on arctic sea ice to report on our changing climate, filmed wildlife returning to
the Chernobyl nuclear exclusion zone and followed the house-to-house spread of ebola virus in the shantytowns of Freetown,
Sierra Leone.

Tom started out as a scientist studying insects in the America’s
deep south. After leaving the lab, Tom trained in journalism in New York. He worked as a science producer for American National
Public Radio before returning to the UK to work for the science
magazine Nature.
